Religious Society of Friends
3088 So. Shore Rd.
Seaville, NJ 08230

At Seaville Monthly Meeting we nurture and support our faith through direct and purposeful experience with the Spirit.  Our faith community offers a number of ways to engage the Spirit, from worship to community service.

Our silent worship enhances the daily practice of prayer, meditation and study.  By preparing the heart and mind for worship, Friends are ready to wait and listen for the presence of God and the Divine.  Worship is a time to turn away from worldly matters and open oneself to the Spirit.  The outcome is a rich and deep connection through the Spirit to those at worship and to the world outside the door.

Adult Nurture provides the opportunity to seek clarity on topical issues by engaging in group discussion.  Quakers seek to understand and focus upon the 'Light Within' each of us.

Youth activities provide varied opportunities to nurture faith as well as learn about Quakerism.

Our Meeting participates in local and international community outreach, by seeking to understand the world around us we foster a deep connection to the Divine Spirit.

A short time ago, co-clerk Ken Thompson asked persons in our Meeting to finish the sentence below.  Here are their answers:

"The thing I like best about Seaville Meeting is…

…the sense of peace that I get whenever I enter."

…the way people help each other out in small ways and that it’s interconnected and goes a long way."

…the nurturing silence."

…the pot lucks!"

…the kindness and concern shown, especially to __, and myself.  Thank you."

…the heartfelt warmth of friends."

…the idea that the walls hold all the spirit and wisdom of the past two centuries!"

…the sense of the peace that I get whenever I enter. I get a feeling of 'coming home'."

…it’s where I can always find God and friends, and share prayerful peace with them."
